ABOUT THIS SERIES:
This series explores personal growth, represented by flowers and plants, while finding beauty in overlooked places by blending imagination with reality and nature with technology.
I took these photos during walks or while passing by, often capturing flowers from wildflower paths, flower pots, and small plant beds that are easily overlooked. My goal was to highlight the hidden beauty in these little, often unnoticed worlds. Later, I would imagine how fairies might inhabit these flowers—what gestures and expressions they might have—and then bring them to life.
The fairy characters are created using 3D software, allowing me to pose them at precise angles to align with the flowers, while adding detailed facial expressions, gestures, and creative lighting. This makes the characters feel naturally integrated into the scene.
The idea of flower fairies comes from my childhood, inspired by a faint memory of an animated story from the '80s about a girl whose tears gave life to a flower fairy. Encouraged by my mother, I spent my childhood searching for these magical creatures. This series is my way of revisiting that childlike wonder, finding beauty and magic in the smallest, most unexpected places.
